The Belisha Foundation Community Shines Pink at the 8th Grand African Run
October 10, 2026 | Virginia, USA
Today, the Belisha Foundation community showed up in a big way at the 8th Grand African Run, filling the event with pink shirts, positive energy, and an inspiring spirit of community, compassion, and generosity. ๐
We are incredibly proud of our community members who joined us to run for a cause they care about, raise awareness, and support cancer patients and their families. The sea of pink was especially meaningful as we observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month, reminding us of the importance of awareness, early detection, screening, and standing together with those affected by cancer.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Grand African Run organizers for their wonderful cooperation and for giving The Belisha Foundation an opportunity to connect with the community we love. Their support allowed us to introduce our mission, share information about our programs, and invite participants to help make a difference. We were also grateful for the opportunity to bring professionals to share brief, important messages about breast cancer awareness.
One of the most exciting moments was seeing our community members come so close to winning the Toyota and generously intending to donate their winnings to The Belisha Foundation. Although the outcome was not what we hoped for, we consider your intention a gift already given. Your generosity, commitment, and willingness to turn a personal win into hope for others mean so much to us. Thank you for carrying our mission in your hearts!
A special thank-you goes to The Belisha Foundation Youth Team. Our children worked enthusiastically to distribute flyers, engage participants, and invite people to donate. Their efforts demonstrated that everyone, regardless of age, can play a meaningful role in serving the community and supporting a cause they believe in.
Today was about more than running. It was about raising awareness, building connections, celebrating community, and reminding cancer patients and their families that they are not alone.
To everyone who wore pink, ran, volunteered, shared our message, made a donation, or encouraged our work: thank you for being part of this journey.
We look forward to seeing you again next year!
