Aldie/Chantilly Children Raise $650 for The Belisha Foundation Through New Year’s Abebayehosh Song
In a heartwarming display of generosity, the children of Aldie and Chantilly came together this Ethiopian New Year to make a meaningful contribution to The Belisha Foundation. Through their traditional Abebayehosh song, performed door-to-door in their neighborhood, the children raised an impressive $650. This donation will go a long way in supporting the foundation’s mission to provide care and support for families affected by cancer, including children and the elderly.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the parents who organized this beautiful initiative, fostering a spirit of giving among the young participants. Their dedication to teaching the values of community and compassion is truly inspiring. Thanks to their efforts, the children were able to engage with their neighbors, bringing joy and raising awareness for a cause that touches so many lives.
We also wish to thank the families in the neighborhood who welcomed the children with open hearts and generously contributed to this cause. Their support not only helped raise the funds but also showed a powerful sense of community spirit and solidarity with The Belisha Foundation’s work. It is through such collective efforts that we can make a significant impact in the lives of those battling cancer and provide much-needed support to their families.
Most importantly, we commend the children who selflessly chose to donate the money they collected. Their kindness and willingness to help others reflect the best of our community and serve as a reminder of the power of unity and compassion. The Belisha Foundation is deeply grateful for this heartfelt contribution, which will aid in our ongoing efforts to provide palliative care, support cancer prevention, and offer hope to those in need.
